SPECIAL THANK YOU to the Horace Orr American Legion Post 29 in Marietta for their generous donation of $40,000.00 to the GA National Guard Foundation from the proceeds of the 6th Annual Veterans Memorial 5K held in 2020!
Despite the many challenges of 2020, the Race Committee led by Tom Bell, Peggy B., Allen Rosenfield, Gary Jenkins and many others worked with Commander Walt Cusick and the Legion Members to make this event happen…virtually! Not one of their generous donors or sponsors asked for a pass this year! Truly amazing!
MG Carden, Maj Gen Grabowski, BG Wilson, Harriet Morgan and MSG Lawver had the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to Tom Bell, Walt Cusick and all the members of American Legion Post 29 for their service and community support to the GA National Guard Foundation. Post 29 has raised more than $155,542 for the Foundation over the last 6 years!
It is an honor for the Foundation to be a designated charity partner for this event each year together with the Shepherd’s Men Shared Initiative and Post 29’s Service Organization!
