American Legion Horace Orr Post 29 in Marietta, GA is proud to host its 30th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Dogwood Golf Club in Austell, GA.

This September marks 106 years of the American Legion and the founding of Horace Orr Post 29. This annual tournament continues a tradition that honors service, strengthens the community, and supports worthy local programs.


Event schedule:Sign in and breakfast begin at 7:00 AM. The driving range will be available at 7:30 AM, and tee off begins at 8:30 AM. A luncheon, raffle, and prizes will follow the tournament back at Post 29.


The tournament is open to singles and teams and is limited to the first 120 players. The format is 4 individuals to a team, Best Ball / Ft. Lauderdale.


Entry is $150 for a single player or $600 for a team. Entry includes breakfast in the golf course clubhouse, greens fees, golf cart, gift bag, 2 mulligans, a $20 PGA gift card, complimentary beverages, and lunch back at Post 29.


Participants can also enjoy longest drive and closest-to-the-hole prizes, plus a Hole-in-One contest sponsored by PGA Superstore.


Proceeds support first responders and local law enforcement, their children’s programs, and holiday events in Marietta and Cobb County. Over the past 29 years, Post 29 has contributed more than $394,000 to community programs.
